Get us your Heroic Men who move the county forward

Ahead of the International Men’s Day on November 19, we invite our readers to join Sunday World to pay tribute to men who lead by example by nominating them for our Heroic Men supplement.

The nominees should also have contributed positively to the growth of the economy, peace, and gender relations in Mzansi.

Built on six pillars, the International Men’s Day steers society toward grooming male role models who contribute immensely to society, community, family, marriage, child care, and the environment; and who also display care for other men’s health and social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

These are the men who bring to the fore awareness about gender relations and gender equality while also aiming to create a safer world for everyone to thrive.

Our Heroic Men who aspire to meet the goals of the International Men’s Day will be included in a special supplement, a third in Sunday World’s annual heroes series.

The men we are looking for are everywhere. They are the heroes in tech, agriculture, sport, arts, culture and in business. You can also nominate a man in uniform, be it wearing a badge for safety and security, medicine, fire prevention or your daily transport.

We will also honour men who fight climate change and protect the ocean; lead in government at local, provincial or national level, and those men who are rooted in helping others in their communities.

Entries for nominations close on October 3 and the special edition will be published on November 13, preceded by a webinar and live event in Johannesburg on November 12.

Help us find your Heroes. You know them, you work with them, live with them, and you socialise with them.
