With the Betway Premiership on recess, most of the clubs will be taking this almost two-month break to reflect on the previous season in preparation for the tough 2026/27 season ahead.
One such club is Marumo Gallants, which have since confirmed the departure of several players whose contracts will not be renewed.
The Nigerian goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi and the once feared Malawian lethal striker, Gabadinho Mhango, are among the players that the outfit based in Mangaung in the Free State has dumped ahead of the new season.
Other players are Dino Ndlovu, Ibrahima Aminata Conde, Kenneth Nthatheni, Theodore Siyabulela Shai, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Kopano Lehlohonolo Thuntsane and Vusi Sibiya.
The club said it sincerely thanked these individuals for their contributions during their time with Gallants. It also wished them all the best in the next chapter of their football journeys.
In addition, Junior Dion and Yanga Mjoli, who were on loan from AmaZulu FC, will return to KwaZulu-Natal club.
Gallants extends its appreciation to both players for their efforts during their loan spell and wishes them continued success.
The club is currently working on building and introducing new players to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.
