Johannesburg – The trilogy of fights between World Boxing Council heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder has divided opinions across the world.
The two kingpins are expected to revive their rivalry on July 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The pair will meet for the third time after the controversial split draw in December 2018, and Fury scored a seventh-round technical knockout in the rematch in February 2020.
At stake would be the WBC and prestigious Ring Magazine heavyweight belts.
Boxing followers locally and abroad are divided and each group tipped its favourite pugilists.
Mzansi boxing fans and pundits alike have also weighed in on who they think would emerge victorious.
South Africa’s boxing legends Dingaan “The Rose of Soweto” Thobela and Brian Mitchell have tipped Wilder on this third meeting.
On other hand top local trainers Alan Toweel and Colin Nathan are giving it to Fury.
However, despite the split verdict, they all don’t see the fight going the distance. Nathan, still in hospital with Covid-19 in Russia, said Wilder will not hear the last gong and will be floored.
