Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah expressed his gratitude to his fans regardless of the team losing the Champions League final.
Liverpool was beaten in the Champions League final after a 1-0 defeat by Real Madrid in Paris.
Although they dominated much of the first half, the Spanish champions were the ones who came closest to breaking the deadlock with a goal by Karim Benzema.
Salah said it had been a very long season but wished that the next season could start soon.
“I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end, we couldn’t. I cannot thank the fans enough for your support,” said the Egyptian born forward.
