Mamelodi Sundowns win big at the PSL awards

Mamelodi Sundowns’ player Andile Jali was the biggest winner at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) awards at the weekend, scooping three awards.

Jali walked away with the MTN8 Last Man Standing, Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament, and DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season awards.

Sundowns co-coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokoena were also honoured with the DStv Premiership Coach of the Season award.

Other winners included another Sundowns player Lyle Lakay, who bagged the DStv Premiership Defender of the Season. The DStv Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season gong went to Cape Town City’s Hugo Marques.

Supersport United and Orlando Pirates players were also honoured. Bucs player Boitumelo Radiopane grabbed both the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season and DStv Diski Challenge Top Goal Scorer awards after putting 24 goals at the back of the net in the 2021/22 season.

SuperSport United’s Luke Fleurs won the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season award, and University of Pretoria’s Keegan Allan took home the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player of the Tournament award.
