South African Manchester City fans should spare a thought for English club manager, Pep Guardiola, whose mother died after contracting the Coronavirus.
The club issued a statement announcing the death a few weeks after her son donated £920 000 to fight the virus in his native Spain.
The Premier League champions said Dolors Sala Carrio passed away at the age of 82.
