Mamelodi Sundowns, Stellenbosch FC and Orlando Pirates have dominated the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Award nominees for the 2023–2024 campaign.
The PSL publicised the nominees for the 2023–2024 PSL campaign on Friday on the PSL’s official X account.
Sundowns players — goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, midfielder Teboho Mokoena, and Stellenbosch FC striker Iqraam Rayners are vying for the coveted footballer of the season award.
Tough competition
For the Dstv premiership players’ player of the season, Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi, Rayners and Williams will battle it out for the prize.
Maswanganyi has been nominated for four awards. These are the players’ player of the season, midfielder of the season, MTN 8 Last Man Standing and Nedbank Cup player of the tournament.
Rayners has also been nominated for four awards, which are the footballer of the season, players’ player of the season, Carling Knockout player of the tournament and Nedbank Cup player of the tournament.
For Dstv premiership coach of the season, Stellenbosch FC’s Steve Barker will be up against Rhulani Mokwena of Sundowns and Jose Riveiro of Pirates.
