The firing spree at AmaZulu continued on Monday when the Premier Soccer League outfit cut ties with technical staff members Kamaal Saait and Johan Abselon.
The axing of Saait and Abselon, who served as assistant coach and goalkeeper coach, respectively, followed that of head coach Brandon Truter last week.
Club president Sandile Zungu then moved quickly to announce the appointment of Romain Folz as the new head coach. On behalf of the club, Zungu thanked Saait and Abselon for their service.
“All parties agreed to a mutual parting of ways in respect of the recent changes. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours,” said Zungu.
“With that said, the changes mean that in the goalkeeping department, we will be welcoming Musa Langa as goalkeeper coach in the interim while the valuable services of Siyabonga Nomvethe will be retained under the reserve team.”
Folz and his assistant Ayanda Dlamini have begun preparations for Friday’s DStv Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium.
