Banyana Banyana have booked a spot in the 2023 Women’s Fifa World Cup in Australia and New Zealand after they beat Tunisa 1-0 in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash in Morocco on Thursday evening.
The solitary goal by Jermaine Seoposenwe secured South Africa’s senior women’s national team a place in the semi-finals of the continental tournament. They join Morocco, Nigeria and Zambia in the last four.
In their next outing, Banyana will lock horns with Zambia on Monday for a spot in the final. Nigeria will battle it out against Morocco.
