Dolly, Dove back in full training ahead of clash against Royal AM

With the international break now over and domestic football set to return, Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has given a positive injury update ahead of a clash against Royal AM.

This means Ntseki will, for the first time this season, have many options when he picks his starting 11 to face MaMkhize’s side at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.

Kick-off is at 5.30pm.

Addressing the media in Naturena, southern Johannesburg on Thursday, Ntseki confirmed that playmaker Keagan Dolly and versatile defender Edmilson Dove are back in full training.

“As for the players that had been injured, we looked at the extent of the injury,” he said.

“Dolly had a very long lay-off due to an injury he sustained. Dove also had to be rested because his injury was also serious.”

He said Dolly and Dove are being monitored by the club’s medical team and fitness trainer to determine whether they are ready physically and tactically.

“As of now, we have had two weeks of work with them, but we still have to monitor them to see if they will be available for the next game or the game after Royal AM,” Ntseki said.

Dolly has been out of action since the beginning of the season after battling with an anterior cruciate ligament injury that he picked up in April. Dove, on the other hand, has been nursing a groin injury.

Before the international break, Ntseki and his charges were enjoying back-to-back league victories and are motivated to continue with their winning streak at the weekend.

In their last match over a week ago, Kaizer Chiefs played to a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semifinal first-leg encounter at the FNB Stadium.
