With the international break in full swing and clubs still finding their feet into the new season, high flying West Ham will be plotting the downfall of log leaders Manchester City and hope to hammer them down the league table by handing them their first defeat of the campaign.
In another exciting fixture, under duress Erik ten Hag and his Manchester United side will be welcoming a sly Roberto De Zerbi led Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Both games will kick off at 4pm (SA time).
Defending champions Man City will travel to west London once they return from the international break, where they will face off with in-form West Ham at the London Stadium.
The Hammers have had a dream start to the new English Premier League campaign – winning three and drawing one of their four matches played so far.
City, on the other hand, have won all four of their matches and remain the only team that has not dropped points so far this season.
It will be a top-of-the-table clash, as a win for the Hammers will see them leapfrog City to the top of the league standings with 13 points, while a victory for the Citizens will help them extend their lead by five points.
For City’s noisy neighbours, Man United, it will be a nail-biting day at the office for them, as they will be going up against a Brighton side that seems to be growing in confidence every game.
The Seagulls have been a nightmare to play against since Italian tactician De Zerbi took over at the beginning of last season, making them one of the teams to keep a close eye on this season.
United have been blowing hot and cold, with their drama-infested start to the new season not doing them any favours.
They will be in search for nothing less than maximum points to retain the confidence of the supporters, but standing in their way are the Seagulls of Brighton and Hove.
