How Mbule landed in the soup for breaking club rulesĀ

Troublesome Sipho Mbule is facing a bleak future with Sekhukhune United on the verge of shipping him back to Mamelodi Sundowns after he broke the club’s code of conduct for the umpteenth time.Ā

A high-ranking Sekhukhune official revealed to Sunday World that the dribbling wizard, who is on loan from Sundowns, arrived at training under the influence of alcohol, together with teammate Katlego Mohamme.Ā Ā

This was the night before Sekhukhune’s Betway Premiership match against Orlando Pirates last week.Ā

Normally, on the day before matches, Sekhukhune trains at the same time the match takes place, to acclimatise. With a night match the following day, Mbule and Mohamme, according to our informer, had the whole day to get up to mischief.Ā

Said the anonymous insider: ā€œThey were free the whole day and they ended up spending their free time getting naughty. They then pitched for the training session, and that’s when they were caught. They were then dismissed from camp and are awaiting a DC hearing. The club has had enough, and Mbule will probably be sent back to his club [Sundowns].ā€Ā Ā

The talented midfielder maestro and his partner missed the matches against Pirates and Magesi FC. Sekhukhune have decided Mbule is no longer in their plans, and he is likely to miss out on Sekhukhune’s league games against Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows.Ā Ā

Mbule is no stranger to controversy, having reportedly arrived at training under the influence of alcohol while at Sundowns together with teammate Andile Jali a few seasons ago. He was suspended by club officials.Ā

In March, Mbule escaped heavy punishment and was allowed to return to training after another transgression. He is alleged to have been in a verbal confrontation with a member of the technical team.Ā Ā

He was left out of the squad for the match against Richards Bay, and Babina Noko subsequently lost the league match 2-1. Sekhukhune’s spokesperson Tebogo Mapinga refused to comment on the allegations and said that it was an internal matter.Ā
