Nedbank Cup semi-final dates, venues confirmed

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the Nedbank Cup semi-final fixtures on Friday.

The two semi-final matches are set to be played on the weekend of 6 and 7 May.

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando pirates were pitted together, in what will be another highly contested Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium on 6 May, with the kick-off time scheduled for 3pm.

On the other mouthwatering fixture, Stellenbosch FC will host Sekhukhune United at the Danie Craven Stadium on 7 May, kick-off time is at 6pm.

The 2023 Nedbank Cup edition will also go down in the history books of the tournament, which saw ABC Motsepe League side Dondol Stars stepping up to be the giant slayers this season.

The amateur side had an impressive run when they stunned SuperSport United and AmaZulu FC, respectively.

Dondol’s fairytale did, however, come to an end when they lost to Pirates 5-4 on penalties after playing to a 1-1 draw after extra-time.

With defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns knocked out of the cup competition, new champs will be crowned.
