Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has added another silverware with Al Ahly after winning the Egyptian Premier League with five games to go.
Ahly were confirmed the Egyptian champions on Monday without even kicking the ball when second-placed Pyramids succumbed to a surprise 2-1 defeat to 10th-placed Ceramica Cleopatra.
The result meant that mathematically, Pyramids will not be able to catch up with Ahly, who have amassed 75 points. Pyramids played two games less and are sitting on 67 points after 32 games.
At the weekend, Tau displayed a man-of-the-match performance, helping his side clinch a comfortable 2-0 victory against Al Ittihad.
Tau has now won six trophies with the Egyptian giants since joining the club in 2021 from English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, adding to his two Egyptian Super Cups, one Egyptian Cup, one CAF Super Cup, and one CAF Champions League they won recently.

His outstanding performance in the Champions League was probably his highlight of the season with the Red Devils, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 12 appearances including in the final.
The 29-year-old played an instrumental role in Ahly’s successful season and reinvented himself under coach Marcel Koller.
He has now made history by becoming the first South African player to clinch two Champions League winners medal, having previously won it with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 under the guidance of former coach Pitso Mosimane.
Tau has reportedly attracted interest from European clubs including Lyle Forster’s Burnley, who will be playing in the Premier League next season.
