Following a one-game suspension and a fine, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Sadio Mané will be back in the squad.
Bayern welcome Manchester City in their all-important UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second-leg encounter at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
The Senegal captain was involved in a change-room outburst with teammate Leroy Sane after their 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium last week, which led to Mane punching Sane on the face.
Mané was handed a one-game suspension against Hoffenheim at the weekend and an undisclosed fine said to be more than $300 000 (R5 683 039).
“Sadio Mané will be in the squad because the topic with Leroy is now settled,” Tuchel told the media. “Starting line-up? We will have to wait and see whether Mané starts or not.”
The German soccer giants have a mountain to climb, as they must overturn a three-goal deficit to deny the Citizens chances of going further in the tournament.
City are yet to win the Champions League and manager Pep Guardiola is under pressure to deliver the prestigious silverware after falling short to Chelsea in the final in 2021.
