Johannesburg- It was announced yesterday that Khanyi Mbau bagged a new lead role on Showmax’s original telenovela, The Wife, in Season 2.
Khanyi will be playing the lead role of Zandile in Zandile Resolute has come as a shock for many.
While Khanyi does feature again, and more prominently, in Season 1, she’ll take center stage in Season 2, which premieres on Showmax in February 2022, and will be inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestselling novel Zandile The Resolute.

Zandile was glamorous and very strong willed. Remember her first outing with Hlomu where Zandile fought with the guys at the other table. Also she didn't understand why Hlomu was allowing herself to be "controlled" sometimes. Actually Khanyi is perfect.
