A source close to the matter has told Sunday World that Mutodi tested positive earlier this week for Covid-19 but only started getting weak yesterday.

“He has been doing well this whole week. He was optimistic he will be fine, only today (Thursday) he started about running short of breath,” the source further added.

According to another friend, he was advised to seek medical attention prior but he brushed off the idea.

“I just wanted to make sure he was gonna be fine, I know he likes to play tough sometimes, I could tell from his voice that he was trying to be strong,” the source further said.

Sunday Wolrd’s source has also revealed that the actor had to be rushed to a private hospital, as there were no ambulances available to attend to him after his health took a turn for the worst.
