Actor Jesse Suntele and his long-time partner, events and artist manager Thuthu Maqhosha tied the knot over the weekend.
The MC of the wedding was comedian Mongezi “Toll Ass Mo” Mahlangu. The couple had a black and white-themed wedding attended by their family and close friends.
In March the couple welcomed their first child together and Thuthu had nothing but gratitude when she expressed love for their newborn baby. She also expressed appreciation for her very supportive partner.
Thuthu shared that they found out late that they were expecting a child. The shock became a bittersweet moment when they were told they were expecting twins, and that only one survived. In 2020 the couple lost their first baby.
“I had such mixed emotions. Do I mourn or celebrate? Also, why? Jesse made me realise there was more to celebrate. Being parents to two angels and one baby boy,” wrote Thuthu at the time.
Finally found meaning of love
In 2022 in an episode of Defining Love, Suntele gushed over his relationship with his Maqhosha, saying he had finally come to understand what love is.
He said he first spotted his partner at the gym and started communicating via DMs on social media. The actor admitted to having ulterior motives. However, he said he was captured by Maqhosha’s tenacity among other things.
“I’ve learnt two things about this relationship over the past three years. One, if your relationships don’t have challenges, you’re in trouble. The second thing I’ve learnt through her is that I don’t think I knew, in all my past relationships, what love was. And this is no offence to all my exes or anything like that, but this is it,” said Suntele.
