Sophie Ndaba, an actress and businesswoman, recently revealed on Instagram that she broke her ankle and was admitted to the hospital.
Speaking in the video from her hospital bed, Ndaba described how she went out to play golf with her friends on the day of her injury because something was bothering her.
“I went home to fit my dress; I slipped and snapped my ankle because my mind was on the dress and on my disturbed thoughts,” she explained.
“Be careful what you keep in your mind for too long. Not worth your life.”
Life is indeed a process
Despite her injuries, she said she was grateful and that it seemed like God was trying to shake her a little.
“Some storms are not there to break you, like my broken ankle, and I think some are there to remind you to slow down, and some are there to restructure you.
“When I looked at the process of my operation and the process of putting steel things in my ankle, I realised that life is indeed a process.”
“I have decided to embrace it because when I look at where I am coming from, I am like dear Lord, what is a broken ankle?
“I still have my life, my humour, and so much to be thankful for. I just want to take this opportunity to thank God; it could have been worse.”
Notice to the devil
Ndaba conveyed her appreciation to the hospital’s physicians, physical therapists, and nurses for their care.
She added that she would need to wear her cast for an additional six weeks but that she was almost ready to return home to recuperate.
She said: “Welcome to my world in my birthday month. All my speaking engagements are booked, and I’ll be there, however seated.
“Notice to the devil: nothing you try will cut the message God entrusted me to deliver.”
