Themba Sekowe, professionally known as DJ Maphorisa, has slammed L-Tido for the indirect jabs he made on the latest episode of his podcast.
L-Tido, who is the host of the L-Tido Podcast, had Tumelo Zwane, popularly known as Sir Trill, as his guest, where he shared his frustrations and challenges in the music industry.
One of the main topics that Sir Trill talked about was the famous mysterious figure referred to as the Grootman. Sir Trill has shared over the past couple of months that this grootman has sabotaged his music career.
Blocking artists from collaborating with Sir Trill
Sir Trill has shared that the ‘grootman’ has been preventing other artists from collaborating with him, effectively stifling his progress and creativity.
In May, he spoke about the gatekeepers in the amapiano music genre, claiming that they have tried to sabotage his music career.
According to Sir Trill, the reason he has not been putting out a lot of music lately is because he feels discouraged.
DJ Maphorisa shared conversations on Monday between him and Sir Trill with a proof of payment. He said that maybe Sir Trill was talking about another grootman on the podcast, stating that he needs help.
“I remember him not going to the music video for De Mthuda John Wick; I knew we were going to have a problem here. Self-sabotage and karma from all the promoters you fu*#ed not pitching those gigs,” wrote Maphorisa.

Acting innocent?
After DJ Maphorisa threw slurs at L-Tido, the podcaster accused him of being a coward.
“Phori you a fu*#n coward … I literally did not say s#it about you; deal with the people you are robbing, not me,” wrote L-Tido.
Nota Baloyi also added his two cents worth on the matter, claiming that he had warned L-Tido about his agenda of painting Maphorisa as a crook and being an accessory to slander.
“Why involve yourself if you are going to act all innocent? You are just as guilty you made your bed now lay in it or be a man and apologise,” wrote Nota.
