Burna Boy to ignite FNB stadium as part of his African tour

Award-winning singer Burna Boy is set to perform in South African again on heritage weekend.

As part of his Africa tour, he is set to take the stage at the FNB atadium on September 23.

The internationally acclaimed Nigerian artist was also the headline act at last year’s DStv Delicious event, where a throng of fans came out to see him.

He has transcended boundaries and transformed into a cultural icon.

Earlier this year he was announced as the headline act for the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend. Joining him for the halftime show was Tems and singer Rema for the Afrobeats-themed performance.

After the performance, the NBA family honoured player LeBron James for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader.

Burna Boy also headlined Afro Nations, the world’s biggest Afrobeats festival, which took place in Portugal in June.

Some of South Africa’s most influential acts in the amapiano scene, who performed at the festival, were the Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, Young Stunna, Daliwonga, DBN GoGo, Vigro Deep and Moonchild Sanelly.
