Hey Neighbour to lift up festival vibes via sign language interpreters

The inaugural ‘Hey Neighbour’ festival set to take place in Pretoria is promoting inclusivity as it will have sign language interpreters.

To ensure everyone enjoys the festival, sign language interpreters will be present on site. The festival, to take place on December 8-10, is set to make history on the continent.

The festival’s journey began in 2018 and it aims to connect attendees through immersive experiences that recharge their souls and give them a chance to reconnect with themselves, humanity and the world.

It also encourages inclusivity, global connections through music and local flavour and opportunities for up-and-coming artists to connect with new fans. In essence, the festival’s focus is on connection, turning strangers into neighbours and generic products into beloved brands.

Hey Neighbour is not just about groove it is also about giving back to the community. The festival is set to create jobs and provide a platform for local vendors and suppliers.

The festival will feature one of the biggest stage structures on the continent. It will measure a staggering 150 metres in length and towering over 20m high.

The lineup includes over 100 performing artists across various genres and backgrounds which will showcase the rich diversity of African and global music culture.

Hey Neighbour festival will actively engage with local communities and small businesses, promoting economic growth. By providing a platform for entrepreneurs, it contributes to the empowerment of South Africa’s entrepreneurial spirit.

The festival will be held at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria.

It will get underway from December 8 to 10.
