MaBlerh’s amazing work sees him back as host of RHOD reunion

Following a dramatic showdown finale episode of The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) season four, media personality MaBlerh will once again host the reunion.

After an eventful and dramatic season, the ladies had their final dinner on their trip to Namibia, where they confronted each other about the events that had been taking place in their circle.

The heated confrontations resulted in the ladies splitting into two groups, as per usual.

One group consisted of Sorisha Naidoo, Slee Ndlovu, and newcomers Ameigh Thompson and Angel Ndlela, while the other camp comprised Jojo Robinson, Maria Valaskatzis, Nonku Williams, and newcomer Zama Ngcobo.

Sam Kelly, the executive producer of Let It Rain Films, said the production house opted for MaBlerh again because he is a big fan of the Real Housewives franchise.

Also, said the production house, MaBlerh has a very deep connection with the Durban franchise.

He is a fantastic host

“He is a fantastic host, and he did a spectacular job last season. He managed to tackle the themes with the grace and sensitivity they needed,” said Kelly.

“It has been a crazy season, and the reunion will be your chance to understand all sides of the story. You will see things from everyone’s perspective.”

MaBlerh, real name Mthokozisi Cele, stated that because fans are so devoted to the show, he can never host the reunion and act carefree.

“There are people who wake up at midnight to watch the show, so I know that I have to take it seriously and deliver on all fronts,” he said.

“I am honoured to be breaking the record for an African host, and I’m excited to be back for the second time.

“It’s going to be a more comfortable experience for the ladies because we now have a rapport.”

I will hold the ladies accountable

He explained further: “When I approached the reunion last year, it was different. Things were very heated, and the ladies were barely speaking to one another.

“So, I had to be very sensitive and aware of everything that had happened. With season four, it’s going to be different because it is not the same season.

“But I’m still going to get to the bottom of things, and I’ll hold the ladies accountable for the things they have said and done.”

As he has been observing the tweets, the worries, and the comments, MaBlerh said he is there to speak for the audience.

The RHOD season four reunion will be aired on Showmax in two parts on May 15 and 22.
