Mrs SA mourns departed producer par excellence Wayne Stafford

The Mrs SA Organization has offered is condolences to the producer of the pageant Wayne Stafford, who passed away on Tuesday.

The tragic news about Stafford’s death was announced by his family on social media. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Stafford started his journey in event production when he was a teenager aged 17.


He was well-known for his involvement in various prominent events, playing a significant role in pageantry and working with Miss Universe and Miss World contestants both locally and internationally.

Exceptional talent

With more than 25 years experience, Stafford became a respected mentor in the pageant industry. The Mrs South Africa pageant described him as a producer with exceptional talent and visionary insight

“It is with very heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a beloved member of our Mrs South Africa family, Wayne Stafford,” said the organisation in a statement.

“Wayne was a longtime friend and an irreplaceable producer who has left a lasting mark on the fashion and entertainment industries.

“Our thoughts are with his friends and family in this difficult time.”


The organisation also described him as a creative visionary whose dedication and artistry shaped many high-profile events across the country.

Stafford established a modeling school and local pageants including the Miss Teen while evolving into being a highly respected and popular mentor and trainer within the pageant community.

His impact was also felt on global stages, as he collaborated with many beauty queens both locally and internationally.

“His energy could fill a room and his laughter was contagious. He was glamorous, fabulous, and unfailingly stylish.

“His beautiful spirit and his memory have left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

“We will always treasure the joy, creativity, and inspiration he brought to our lives.”
