DJ Euphonik has impregnated his mistress in what appears to be the polygamist artist’s move to expand his harem.
News that Euphonik is expecting a love child was revealed by his estranged second wife in a supplementary affidavit she filed two weeks ago in the Johannesburg High Court, where the two former lovebirds are facing off after a vehement disagreement over their co–parenting arrangement.
In the supplementary affidavit which Sunday World has seen, the estranged wife starts off by protesting that Euphonik is not spending sufficient time with her children whenever they visit his home, which he shares with his first wife, Kholeka Qiniso, and a helper named Dineo.
“When the children are at the respondent’s home, they are not very often in his company and are often cared for by a relative of Kholeka, Dineo, whom the respondent has brought into his home to assist with childcare. There is no reason for my children to be in the care of Dineo when they can be with me.
“There are in total seven children in the respondent’s home, being our two who are the subject hereof, the three whom he had with Kholeka who are mentioned in earlier papers, a baby born to Kholeka in January 2024, and Dineo’s under-two-year-old child.
“It is self-evident that my two do not get the one-on-one hands-on attention that they receive when with me, and they have to share all resources between the seven of them.
“The respondent’s girlfriend has just had her baby shower, and there will soon be an eighth baby in the picture,” she stated in the affidavit.
She also stated that Euphonik does not want her -children to bring to his home the iPads that her grandparents bought for them.
“The respondent does not want them to have them, and thus the children do not even take them into the respondent’s home, and when the children are with me, although I have asked the respondent to use their iPads on which to call them, he refuses. His attitude is that I am attempting to emasculate him by allowing my grandparents to buy such gifts for ‘his’ children,” read the affidavit.
She further stated that Euphonik did this despite knowing that the children use the devices for their academic activities.
“His disrespect for my side of the family, and their children’s reciprocal rights to relationships is alarming, especially in the context of him wanting a big ‘tribe’ of his own,” Ephonik’s estranged wife further stated in the affidavit.
Their legal battle started after she dumped the artist after accusing him of infidelity.
The -woman said she met Euphonik, born Themba Nkosi, at an event in KwaZulu-Natal. They established a serious relationship in 2014, -going into 2015.
She said she moved in with him in his home, which was then in Jukskei Park, Randburg, after he had told her that he had sired a child with another -woman.
She later learned the woman was Kholeka after he lied to her that they had broken up.
She said Euphonik paid ilobolo for her in June 2016, when she was pregnant with their first child. The second ilobolo payment, she stated, was made on October 8, 2016.
She said when she returned to work after accouchement leave, she received a call from Kholeka, saying she and the music producer were still together.
She said the last ilobolo instalment was made on August 19, 2017, but they did not complete the rites because of Euphonik’s shenanigans.
She said when she was two months pregnant with their -second child, Kholeka moved into their other home in Joburg.
She said she later discovered that Kholeka was also carrying Euphonik’s precious cargo.
She said a few months after the birth of their second child, Euphonik convened a family meeting and invited Kholeka, and raised the question of a polygamous marriage.
When she found out that -Euphonik was marrying -another woman as his third wife in 2021 without her knowledge, she abruptly ended their relationship.
After their separation, the two have been tussling over co-parenting and the maintenance of their children in the high court.
The wife dragged Euphonik to court after accusing him of -violating their co-parenting agreement and not properly supporting their children.
She wants the court to grant them a co-parenting order and another order to force him to maintain the children. Euphonik ignored the written questions we sent to him.
