Faith Nketsi opens up about big life changes after break-up

Media personality Faith Nketsi’s reality TV show Have Faith – which looks at her new chapter in life, raising her daughter Sky, and figuring things out after separating from her husband – is currently in its fifth season.

This season’s theme is “Sky is the limit”, and it is all about a new generation, new legacy, and new life.

Season four explored Faith’s marriage and her husband’s legal challenges.

Ups and downs laid bare

In a wide-ranging interview with Sunday World this week, the TV star said viewers can expect a whole lot of emotions including many ups and downs in her life.

Faith recently became a mother, and she said her lifestyle has not drastically changed. However, everything that she does now, she considers her life.

“It has been such an amazing experience that I don’t really feel the change. I think it is just the choices that I make now. Sky is such a lovely and easygoing little child,” she said.

Faith has gone through a lot of life changes lately, and she has been holding up great.

When the show started, she confirmed that there had been trouble in paradise in her marriage, barely a year after the lovebirds celebrated their traditional wedding.

She revealed that due to the severity of marital problems, she would be in a mental hospital if she had stayed, despite having a child with her estranged husband.

“Everything has been great and I am holding up great. My mental health is definitely stable and I think I am at a point where I am happy,” she revealed.

“There were a lot of decisions that I had to make to get to this point. I have definitely found happiness and I am happy with the choices that I made.”

Finding balance between work and family

She shared that she has been balancing work and family life very well, and has had to take it easy when feeling overwhelmed.

“I used to do anything and everything just to get a pay cheque, now I need to be selective with the things that I do,” she said.

Faith added that her TV show is not scripted, noting that most of the time when they are shooting, it is exactly what they are going through at the time.

“Having a big following on Instagram is great, but we can never shy away from the fact that television is a very big platform.

“So having a reality show is what really made me connect with so many different people and for them to know me.”

She said she has become immune to social media backlash, and she knows that it is always a phase.

“I have just become stronger, so it really does not affect me as much as it used to at the beginning.”
