Social media influencer Gcinile Twala, whose ex-fiancé Themba “Grootman” Silahle has threatened to leak the -second of their 35 sex tapes after dropping their first blue movie clip on social media on Monday, has applied for an urgent interdict in the Joburg High Court to stop him in his nefarious tracks.
In the application we’ve seen, Twala stated that the leak of more of their sex tapes would cause her further distress. She is currently in hiding, unsure of how to face the world after the sex video went viral on Monday last week.
In her prayers for the -interdict, Twala stated that she moved to Cape Town with -Silahle in the wake of her abduction by one of the forex trader’s fraud victims.
While staying in the Cape she and Silahle started having sex with him recording their sexual encounters, she said. Twala said she had no qualms with that as long as the explicit videos and pictures were kept between them as a couple.
“This (the filming of the sex) continued throughout the relationship, where the respondent would film some of the sexual encounters on his phone and keep them.
“At all times when he filmed, he reassured me that it was -only for our eyes, and because I trusted him, I believed him and didn’t imagine that one day I would wake up to the nightmare of him leaking our most private and intimate moments we shared together,” she stated in the court papers.
She said on February 3 this year, after their breakup, Silahle accessed their daughter’s TikTok account and sent messages to her, threatening to post more of their raunchy recordings.
“On May 5, 2024, the respondent once again accessed our child’s TikTok account and sent me more messages demanding that he wanted me to return every single item that he bought me; otherwise, he would release our tapes and that he would kill me and send bullets to wreck my home every week.
“On May 7, 2024, the respondent sent me more messages; this time he included screenshots of all the pictures and videos that he had taken of our intimate moments and other really obscene content that he had taken with and some without my knowledge and consent from 2021 until the time of our split.”
Twala further stated that -Silahle later sent more messages, indicating that he would leak the videos on the internet for the next 10 years until she grew tired of life. Twala said Silahle eventually carried out his threats and pulled the trigger on her dignity.
“On May 20, 2024, I was informed by friends and family, as well as some of my fans on social media, that there was a sex tape of me that had been leaked on the internet and was going viral.
“I was truly disturbed and deeply humiliated by this when I discovered that, in fact, one of the videos in which we had been intimate was all over social media with over a million views,” she said.
She said Silahle took to social media and said she deserved what was happening to her, stating that more X-rated videos of them were on the horizon.
“Since these videos started circulating, I am deeply traumatised and afraid to even step outside of my home in fear that someone will recognise me from the video.
“It has also been incredibly difficult for my family and friends who have seen the video, and I am unable to explain how or why my most intimate moments with the father of my child are making the rounds on social media,” she stated in the application.
On Tuesday, after leaking the clip, Silahle posted on social media that the second of the 35 clips was in the pipeline.
