Media personality and businesswoman Thando Thabethe is rejoicing after her business venture Thabooty’s scooped an award at the second annual Basadi in Music Awards.
Thabooty’s is an underwear and shapewear business that seeks to change the way women relate to underwear and shapewear.
Thabethe, alongside Nhlanhla Mafu and Boity Thulo, was awarded the CEO Mosadi in Business Achievement Award.
Taking to social media, she thanked all the women who continue to support her business by buying a pair of shapewear and underwear.
“Thank you to the incredible team behind @thabootys for helping me take my brainchild to even greater heights,” she wrote.
“You all make the hard work, sacrifices, and sleepless nights all the more worthwhile. Business is not a walk in the park, but what an incredible journey I’ve had with @thabootys.”
The media personality reflected on how business has taught her that it is okay to fail, rise up, and try once more.
She added that her business will turn seven in September, noting that she cannot wait to continue to change the world “one booty at a time”.
Musician and entrepreneur Mafu also reflected on her first award as an entrepreneur.
“All the glory to God, CEO Mosadi in Business Award for NN Vintage. Thank you @basadiinmusicawards_sa for this great honor, and thank you to all the supporters of NN Vintage @official_nnvintage, we love and appreciate you so much,” she wrote.
Thulo, who was also awarded the same award, said she is grateful for the honour. Her alcohol brand BT Signature partnered with awards organisers for the event.
“What Ous [sister] Hloni is doing for women in music is profound and I truly believe [it] is going to change the shape of how women are celebrated and recognized for their enormous contribution to the music industry,” wrote Thulo.
