Mrs Mops left ‘The Mommy Club’ to focus on family, grow business

Mrs Mops, an original cast member and veteran of The Mommy Club reality TV show, says she has stepped away from the show to concentrate on her family and business.

Everyone was taken aback when Mrs Mops announced she would be leaving The Mommy Club in season three.

Mrs Mops stated that she decided to adopt the friend role this season in order to concentrate more on her business.

Her departure came as the Bidders Choice Online group announced that her family’s luxurious Pretoria home was up for auction.

However, the sale has been stopped by Mrs Mops, real name Mpumi Mophatlane, and her husband Isaac Mophatlane.

Priority is to grow Nala Reign

“Being part of a reality show is incredibly time-consuming, and in this new chapter of my life, my priority is growing Nala Reign, my family, and continuing to build my brand as a boss babe,” said the mother of three.

“The Mommy Club will always be home for me, though, and you can definitely expect me back.”

The experience of filming the show was amazing, and it was a big and meaningful part of her life, according to Mrs Mops.

“The crew became like family to me, and I really cherished having them in my home and in my life.

“My kids also loved having the crew around, mainly because of all the yummy snacks they brought along.”

She said she met amazing women through the show, citing that it has been a really fulfilling experience.

“While we have had our ups and downs, we always manage to come together as women, wives, businesswomen, and moms. The bond we share is real, and that is something I will always treasure,” she said.

Few projects in the pipeline

Having been on the show from the start, she stated that witnessing her vulnerable moments was more difficult than the actual filming.

“Sometimes things happen during filming that get contained within the show, but once the audience sees it, it can take on a life of its own.

“If those moments do not portray you in the best light, it can be tough to handle. But it is all part of the journey,” she said.

She is working on a few projects with her company, Nala Reign, outside of The Mommy Club.

“I am also balancing my 9-to-5 and motherhood. There are some exciting new things in the pipeline that I’m sure will surprise a lot of people.

“Just keep watching; big things are coming, and you are going to read about them soon. The future is looking incredibly bright.”
