Fitness bunny and influencer Sbahle Mpisane, who was involved in a horrific car accident in 2018, has opened up about how she warmed up to tattoos.
In 2022 Mpisane shared on her YouTube channel that a friend was responsible for the crash that happened at the time when she had no medical aid cover.
On Wednesday she took to social media to share how she used to be against tattoos. How she judged people with tattoos for the longest of times. She said that she would verbally state that they looked dirty. And that she had grown up to see ink art as dirt.
Hated her scars from horrific accident
“After my car accident, I had scars all over my body and they made me feel dirty. And I was like #WTF.
“My anger was sky high, because the scars were basically tattoos that I did not ask for. To make life easy for thy self, I decided to get inked. This was so I can cover my scars bit by bit, to clean the dirt.
“My mum supported my art because she knew that it would give me the peace I needed. It would boost my dead confidence at the time,” wrote Mpisane.
Friend introduced her to Tattoos
Mpisane further stated that a friend of hers who has one small tattoo advised her to get a sleeve tattoo. This in order to cover her arm scar that many individuals kept staring at out of curiosity.
“I laughed at her and said ‘we are equal sinners doll face, u murdered one individual and I bombed a house hold [sic]’. Bible judge me but I had to cover all my scars. And I am happy they are not at view for people to view or question me.”
