Televangelist pastor Enoch Phiri caused heartbreak when he allegedly snatched his new girlfriend from a prominent Limpopo doctor.
Sunday World understands that Dr Thabang has been left licking his wounds after Phiri swept his girlfriend and prophetess Nokuthula Thuli off her feet while they were still dating.
The pair was in a serious relationship and stayed together at Dr Thabang’s home in Polokwane when she met Phiri in August 2022.
Phiri, who is a public speaker, television presenter and pastor at Restoration House Ministries in Soweto, revealed that he is dating Thuli after he met her on his way to the Ingoma Awards in 2022.
However, it has emerged that at the same time Phiri met the prophetess, she was in a serious relationship with another man, who only found out through social media that his woman had been snatched by the pastor.
A source close to the doctor told Sunday World that the Restoration House Ministries’ first lady-in-waiting is a heartbreaker of note, noting that she instantly forgot her loyalty to the doctor at the sight of Phiri.
“She was married to another pastor in Zwide location in Port Elizabeth before all of this. I don’t think they are divorced yet from what we hear,” the source said.
“She left him and was in a relationship with another man in North West. After that relationship failed, she dated the doctor in Polokwane whom she was staying with and left him for Phiri.
“The doctor was never told about the relationship she has now entered with Phiri. He only found out through media reports that she is now dating someone else and that person is pastor Phiri.”
Phiri, who also features on Moja Love’s talk show amaBishop, said he is testing out the relationship with Thuli after his divorce to his wife of 19 years Busisiwe Phiri.
His revelation has been clouded by judgement after fellow pastor and social commentator Solomon Izang Ashoms blast the couple’s morality on Facebook on Wednesday, stating that the lovebirds are building their house on another man’s tears.
“I heard she was married three times and currently legally married to another man. Her last doctor boyfriend in Polokwane is shocked and not aware that she has left him. I hope pastor Phiri is aware of it … She seem very dodgy. Not gonna end well,” wrote Ashoms.
Thuli, who is also a preacher, took to the comment section and told Ashoms that she has not committed any sin, adding that she loves Phiri.
“Show me in scripture what sin are you exposing here, what is your point? Does pastor Phiri not deserve love or don’t I deserve to move on?” she asked.
Thuli denied being married to someone else from Port Elizabeth, revealing that she broke up with the doctor because he cheated on her.
“My ministry centres around teachings about restoration and I will never allow someone to tie me to pain forever. Yes the relationship happened and it did not work out, what am I supposed to do?”
Phiri, who is currently on a gateway in Jakarta, Indonesia did not respond to questions sent to him. At the time of publishing, Thuli had not responded to an enquiry sent to her.
