Durban-based socialite, media personality and businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize is making a comeback on the small screens with the second season of her reality show.
KwaMam’Mkhize Season 2 will premiere on December 14 exclusively on Showmax with new jam-packed episodes on Tuesdays for eight weeks.
In addition to Shauwn Mkhize, the cast includes her son Andile Mpisane, daughter Sbahle Mpisane and her new daughter-in-law, Tamia Mpisane
In the first season, we followed Shauwn as she reclaimed her maiden surname from her marriage surname Mpisane.
A massive ratings hit for Mzansi Magic, the first season won Best Reality Show at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards and led to Shauwn Mkhize’s nomination as Personality of the Year at the 2022 DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Mkhize promises to share all the ups and downs of her life. She says sometimes people believe that their lives are perfect, but that’s not the reality. Mkhize said as a family they also face difficult times but always manage to come out of those situations.
She added that people who find inspiration in them will see their human side and relate to the journey that they are on.
“Season 1 was about self-discovery. In Season 2, you will witness a different side of me. My children have grown, I have grandkids, and I am cherishing every moment,” said Mkhize.
“I aim to be more open so that people can truly understand me. There are numerous misconceptions about me, and individuals have their own perceptions of who I am. I have always stated that I want to tell my story in my own words,” she added.
