South African music favourites Pabi Cooper, K.O and Swaziland-born Uncle Waffles have made it to the 2023 BET Awards nominations.
Pabi Cooper, real name Paballo Basetsana Mothapo, has been nominated for the Viewers’ Choice Best International Act, among Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Asake, Ghanaian songwriter and producer Camidoh, British girl group from London Flo, Cameroonian-American Afrobeats singer Libianca, artist Maureen, rapper MC Ryan, British singer-songwriter Raye, and well-known French rapper Werenoi.
K.O, born Ntokozo Mdluli, and Lungelihle Zwane, popularly known as Uncle Waffles, were both nominated in the Best International Act category.
The two are nominated among Burna Boy, Ella Mai, Stormzy, Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and L7nnon.
The BET Awards will air live on BET DStv channel 129 on June 25 (8pm ET/5pm PT).
