Kwaito legend and TV personality Zwai Bala has announced his upcoming music projects and the establishment of Bala Voices.
Following the success of his family’s reality show, The Bala Family, Zwai Bala is embracing a creative chapter.
Zwai’s success has been influential in the music industry and within his family.
He inspired his brothers Loyiso and Phelo to pursue their own successful music careers. He has also assisted with revolutionising the genre of kwaito through the group TKZee.
Zwai Bala will be joining the judging panel for Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs SA season four. He is also working on new music that showcases his dedication to promoting African artists on a global stage.
In collaboration with his sister, Thozama “Pinky” Bala, he is embarking on a siblings project that aims to blend their distinct afro-sound with contemporary influences fused with gospel.
The partnership will provide a strong foundation for Bala Voices, a unique vocal solution project focused on providing opportunities for aspiring singers from diverse communities.
Zwai Bala has committed himself to helping them shine and kickstart their musical careers by establishing the First-Class African Vocal Performance Programme.
With Pinky’s directorship, promising singers will undergo specialised training under Zwai’s guidance.
The state-of-the-art techniques are designed to propel these exceptional artists into sustainable careers in the music world.
Speaking about his latest venture, Zwai Bala said it is an exciting time for him and his sister.
“We are finally ready to set up the development and training of exceptionally talented singers who will be part of Bala Voices.
“We aim to empower through the gift of music while simultaneously working on our own musical creations,” he said.
