More info:

Kamogelo Themba is the founder of Rich Aunt Enterprises, which aims to revolutionise commercial farming by integrating livestock and crop production with organic practices.  “Our mission is to run a lucrative agricultural operation, contribute to food security, and promote community development by creating jobs and offering skills programmes,” Themba states, explaining that the company plans to start with small-scale, affordable projects and expand as the business grows.  Driven by a deep passion for farming, Themba embraces the demands of the sector. She says for farmers there’s no such thing as office hours as they’re always on standby. Themba’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. “I faced numerous obstacles due to a lack of knowledge and capital. For instance, I didn't know that chicks need a brooder before moving them to their normal coop,” she reveals.  Despite these hurdles, Themba secured 10 hectares of land in Zebediela and is now focused on expanding her operations. “My goal is to incubate 100 000 eggs per cycle. I’m still looking for funding, incubators, and solar panels to start operations in the new area.” With a vision to lead the organic farming sector in South Africa, Themba is committed to sustainable and inclusive growth in agriculture. “We believe that with the right team and enough support, Rich Aunt Enterprises will significantly impact community development and the agricultural sector economy.”
