Founder – Voice It In Action
Kgothatso Moloto is a young computer scientist and patriotic citizen who recognises the need for meaningful economic interventions and economic opportunities for young people. Moloto, who holds a BSc in Computer Technology and a BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, is the founder of Voice It In Action, a non-profit company aimed at creating innovative solutions to curb gender-based violence and femicide. Moloto highlights that starting Voice It In Action and being able to make a difference in the lives of marginalised communities is his biggest achievement. He adds that launching a campaign that targeted the creation of 1-million beacons of hope to combat violence against women. “A lot can be said, both good and bad, about the state of our country,” Moloto acknowledges, adding he chooses to focus on the potential of our democracy to mature and prosper. “The struggle heroes have paved the way. It’s now time for us to continue in the work that has been started. We have a long way to go in ensuring the necessary changes. The next 30 years will tell a story. I hope that my actions can be a story worth telling.”
