Luyanda Akhona Jack is a young, enthusiastic bank manager who loves exploring new things and opportunities. “I have been in the banking sector for nine years. It has been a wonderful experience growing from being a junior staff member to being in management,” he states. According to Jack, his passion is driven by being able to provide solutions and being part of customers’ stories. “Over the years, I’ve celebrated with many clients, from getting their first car to getting a bond or even celebrating with parents whom we assisted with study loans for their children. It’s always great to be part of a successful story,” he expresses. Apart from being passionate about banking, Jack is also a budding stylist who is contemplating venturing into the sector. Known for his stylish looks, Jack sells men’s formal apparel to his admirers, creating a network of suppliers to meet his demand. “I have also managed to drive a campaign that ensures that I donate suits to underprivileged matric learners for their farewells,” he adds. Jack remarks that for South Africa to succeed in the current economic state, young minds who are hungry for success need to take the ropes in leading businesses. As has been the case with him in the banking sector, organisations must also show faith in youthful energy, creating a conducive environment for creative ideas to flourish.
