Project Name/Description:
School Co-ordinating Supervisor - iDestiny
A committed young man whose passion is for reaching out to his community, Masikholwe Mbenguzana is an employee of a non-profit organisation called iDestiny. The organisation’s main focus is youth development and training for high schools, churches, youth groups and related organisations. It also hosts camps for career guidance and motivation, targeting matriculants. In 2022, Mbenguzana was promoted to the role of school coordinating supervisor at iDestiny. Formerly an ambassador for the Free State Centre for Human Rights and a peer-to-peer intern facilitator at Gold Youth Development Agency, Mbenguzana is currently a member of the Parkroad Youth Community Policing Forum and sits in the school safety committee of the Department of Education, Motheo District. His heart for servant leadership is further demonstrated by his church involvement, where he volunteers as an usher. “The transition from apartheid to a democratic society in 1994 was a monumental achievement marked by hope, reconciliation, and the promise of a brighter future for all South Africans,” notes Mbenguzana. “However, South Africa also faces numerous challenges. While there have been positive developments, there’s still much work to be done to realise the full potential of democracy and ensure that all South Africans can enjoy the fruits of freedom and equality.”
