Cyril, you don’t need to do what the Romans do
Shwa has many questions, seeing ANC boss Cyril Ramaphosa singing along in one pro-IFP songs at the funeral service of IFP lifetime president Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
Cupcake surely believes that when he is in Rome, he must do what the Romans do. Shwa is just not sure if it appears that way too to supporters of his own party. In the IFP-dominated funeral service, the MCs led the thousands of mourners with a song with lyrics “wathinta Inkatha (IFP), udakwe yini?”, loosely translated “are you drunk? Why are you messing with the IFP”. Ramaphosa sang along, and Shwa can only imagine the confusion among ANC supporters who were seeing their own president joining the opposition camp.
