Mzansi’s finest queening in kasi glam at launch of soapie
Last week yours in gossip went to Kings Kraal in Bryanston, Joburg, to attend the launch of BET’s new daily drama Queendom.
The theme of the night was kasi glam and quite frankly Shwa is not sure whether attendees understood what that meant, but again as long as they were there that’s all that matters.
The night had the BET black carpet glittering with some of Mzansi’s favourite stars.
I must say the cast of the show is -really a mixture of such talented people who hopefully will keep viewers glued to their screens.
Linda Mtoba, who is the lead actress, looked ravishing as always in denim. Shwa is super proud of you; you have worked your way up in the acting industry.
Sindi Dlathu is back on the small screen and she rocked a cute hairstyle and wore an all-black kasi-inspired outfit. Sindi makes sure never to look her age and always keeps it simple, yet stylish.
Thandeka Dawn King and Samkelo Ndlovu, who are also part of the show must have made a pit stop somewhere or were going somewhere after the launch. How else does Shwa explain why they were dressed up as if they were going to an awards show or something?
Moi really believes the two could have saved those dresses for another event.
Silindile Nodangola is one busy actress who we happen to see on every other show these days. We love it for you, mama, and keep working hard; your work is impeccable. It’s as if she’s at the peak of her career and nobody can stop her.
People have been so worried about Khaphela, oops, I meant Mike Mvelase. There were all sorts of rumours about the man, about how he had given up on acting and was back home herding cattle in KwaZulu-Natal.
It was good to see you out and about, Bra Mike, and Shwa can’t wait to see what you have in store for us.
Sjava and The Soil entertained the guests for the night.
It seems that Sjava, who is also on the show, is really trying to secure the bag as much as he can.
If he is not singing or modelling, he is also acting these days, quite a busy bee. Shwa loves a man who is booked and busy.
Any production that has the legendary Hamilton Dlamini means business and it is sure going to be exciting to see what he has in store for viewers.
Shwa also spotted stars such as Mduduzi Mabaso, Nhlanhla Kunene, Patrick Mofokeng, Sibulele Gcilitshana and Lehasa Moloi.
