So Castle Lite has finally got with the programme and followed Black Twitter’s league by making light of bad situations. Something South Africans do best.
They launched Bad News Bingo this week, which is a new entertaining communication campaign using humour and comedy to address serious issues such as our monstrous sized potholes.Â
The launch was held at one of Joburg’s most dazzling rooftop venues, The Roof in Bryanston on Tuesday.
Some of those that attended were some well-known personalities, including the likes of Anele Papu, Carpo, Don Design and Mbali Wethu. Moi can only keep up so much with these influencers or influencer wannabe’s.Â
MC for the night was ENCA and 947 newsreader, Thembekile Mrototo. Now who better to take on the task? Love you Thembs…He managed to get the evening off to an electric start with a sprawling monologue in which he brought light to the recent news happenings, sharing some hilarious social commentary. Shwa just wonders how you kept it together in that hot suit. We thought the idea was to keep it light and fresh.Â
Renowned comedians Eugene Khoza and Tumi Morake are the hilarious hosts. Good to see Khoza back where he belongs, guy is funnier than the comedians in parliament.
Morake is trying, by all means, to age backward as she rocked blonde short hair and an all-green outfit. Shwa must agree that she digs your youthful spirit.Â
Shwa looks forward to seeing the “lite” side of life.Â
