Umoya organisers a breath of fresh air

We understand that your girl in gossip is a damn liker of things, but on Wednesday I surprised myself when I was eager to go all the way to Pretoria and deal with the ever-long traffic for the launch of Umoya.

Umoya! A platform for African talent to thrive!

What a welcoming atmosphere. The music was pumping, and I kid you not, drinks were flowing, and so was food. I loved it.

Eclipse Communications PR company and G&G Productions paid attention to detail in the décor and, darling, they know how to host their guests. Other PR companies should take note.

Your girl bumped into Mr Grammy winner Zakes Bantwini. But disappointingly he looked rather dull in a leather jacket and those glasses.

It was not dark in there Mr Bantwini. And you really are quite ill-mannered. Instead of saying “askies, may I pass?”, this dude rudely shoved Shwa’s plus one to the side as he walked past. The arrogance of this man! He is unmannered. Shame, confidence is cool, but arrogance?

Also, Bantwini should stick to the decks and not do “guest speaking”. It is so not your thing.

Gareth Cliff smiled, waved and made everyone feel welcome. But this doesn’t mean Shwa has forgiven you for all your blunders, Mr Cliff. You’re still pompous and obnoxious.

Graphic artist Sumurai Farai was dressed to the tee in a green two piece.

The CEO of G&G Productions, Greg Walsh, had such a dry sense of humour when he grabbed the mic. Shwa could not wait for his segment to end.

The programme was a bit long …

Influencer manager Kevin Khumalo dressed according to the theme in a blue and white African attire. He had such a radiant presence. Moi loves it for you.

Shwa cannot wait for February 10, 2024, to watch the actual music meets theatre thang. Who does not love a show by South Africans for South Africans.

The first phase includes the following artists: Bantwini, Shimza, DBN Gogo, Focalistic and Sun-El Musician.

Your girl in gossip is ready to dust off her dance shoes.

The creative director of Umoya, Clive Mathibe, blessed the stage with lively energy. He was dressed in a rather creative white attire.

Darling, Moi needs those tens of your designer. A good look for upcoming Halloween.
