Women in takkies know how to have fun

Converse hosted a Women’s  Day mixer at Langham in Fourways last Wednesday.

Guests were told to come as they are and to be ready to be transformed! Your girl in gossip was in for a nice treat when she got there.

Shhhh! I arrived late … well fashionably late, shame!  And Shwa was disappointed to see only influencers – well, they are the new celebrities, are they not?

It was beautiful to see women express themselves with a pair of All-stars… keeping it simple!

Nicole Bear, a fashion enthusiast, paired her black All-stars with a lovely black mini, a real Chuck Taylor girl.

Noni Khumalo, Y presenter, looked so alive with a green formal jacket, mara sista, those heels?

Moi was blessed to meet artist Chantal Coetzee where she gave a mini walkabout on her exhibition African Queens, Restoring History collection.

How beautiful that she could capture her portraits with so much depth.

Let me plug you quick, she will have a solo exhibition at the Keyes Art Mile from August 3 until September 7. It is a must-see.

She also drew on individual sneakers and we gave them colour with some fabric paint – these things are not just for preschoolers.

Moi was taken in by the activities, painting, recording music and make up by Fenty Africa.

The brand also sets up a studio where women went and created the song of the day! Moi cannot sing, but boy, was that fun!

There is no other place that Moi would have enjoyed spending Women’s Day.

Converse knows how to treat a lady.
