Popular Sandton nightclub Taboo officially shuts its doors

The popular Sandton nightclub Taboo announced that it is closing its doors.

The closure of the club comes after its founder, Chris Coutroulis, passed away seven months ago due to a lengthy battle with Covid-19.

He had opened up a couple of upmarket nightclubs and several restaurants and hotels frequented by Mzansi’s celebs.

Taking to its social media pages, Taboo said it was saddened by the fact that it had to close the club.

“When Chris created Taboo, his vision was that it would be a place where dreams will be made. Through the years it cemented and left an inedible mark in the club scene fondly known as the theatre of dreams,” it posted.
