The President, Cyril Ramaphosa was doing so well updating the nation on the relaxing of the hard lockdown – until he attempted putting on his face mask.
While some questioned what the different levels were, and which level Chicken Licken falls under?, others were posting Ramaphosa’s awkward mask fail on their WhatsApp status and social media pages.
Within minutes, South Africans responded with hilarious memes – comparing the President face mask to the blindfold worn by Sandra Bullock in the Thriller, Birdbox. It was hardly an hour after the address and the #Cyrilmaskchallenge was trending at number one on twitter streets.
But although fun was had, South Africans acknowledged that Ramaphosa was a ball of nerves, and that he remains the best President for his efforts in the fight against the deadly coronavirus.
