ANC sends condolences following death of Limpopo fist lady

The ANC has extended its condolences to the Mathabatha family following the death of Margaret “Maggie” Mathabatha.

Maggie, the wife of Limpopo premier Stanley Mathabatha, passed away on Wednesday after a short illness.

The news of her untimely demise was announced by the Limpopo provincial government on Wednesday, which expressed its condolences.

“The late Mme Pebetse Mathabatha was a community activist, leading community development initiatives as a patron of Limpopo First Lady Trust,” the ANC said.

“She played a strong role in the empowerment of rural communities in several ways, especially the upliftment of young people and women, as the most important sectors of our society.

“The ANC extends its heartfelt condolences to comrade Stanley Chupu Mathabatha, the entire Mathabatha family and many communities whose lives were positively impacted by Mme Mathabatha.

“May her dear soul rest in eternal peace.”
