Bad blood between Ramaphosa’s son, Babalwa Mneno worsens

The heated verbal altercation between President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son, Tumelo, and media personality Babalwa Mneno has reached a boiling point.

The public feud is so intense that the businessman began hurling insults at the former model after Mneno revealed Tumelo and media personality Eva Modika’s purported romantic relationship.

He accused her of being a scam, calling her an old fossil, and claimed that she was failing to maintain a certain lifestyle by driving an old Bentley.

Mneno accused Tumelo of bias when he added Inno Morolong as one of the celebrity fighters for his Studex boxing match last week, which led to the current standoff.

The credibility of fight questioned

Tumelo added Morolong, according to Mneno, because she introduced him to his purported girlfriend and club DJ Modika.

Additionally, she made the suggestion that the April 21 celebrity boxing match between Morolong and gender-based violence activist Ashleigh Ogle at the Durban ICC was rigged before it even got under way.

Mneno said: “Nobody should waste their hard-earned money to go and watch that boxing match.

“Ashleigh has already lost the fight because Inno gave Tumelo Ramaphosa, the main promoter, a girlfriend. Duhh!

“Let’s hypothetically assume the couple wasn’t introduced by Velaphi [Inno]; the fact remains that the fight will be biassed against Ashleigh because Velaphi is best friends with Tumelo’s girlfriend.”

Cassandra Le Roux, the MMAF All-African 2018 flyweight champion, took Morolong’s place after Mneno’s exposé.

Insults fly on social media

This week, Tumelo showed that he still harboured resentment towards Mneno by insulting her on social media on Wednesday night.

In his first post, the businessman wrote: “Still in the club 500 years later; do your research. Only vampires can survive, live so long and see all our lives.

“This person was busy dancing with Mandela in 1994; now she’s still dancing with us.”

By implying that Mneno sells her customers repackaged meat, he alleged that she undervalues her customers.

“[She] buys meat from a butcher shop and then sends [sic] it up. Real hustle, you gotta give her credit. No skills, no life, just ghosting around.”

Mneno hits back

Mneno did not take the harsh criticism lying down.

She posted: “Not Duduzane-lite saying he’s a public figure … This cowntree [sic] is a comedy set!”

Duduzane is former president Jacob Zuma‘s son and was reportedly closely associated with the infamous and fugitive Gupta brothers.

On Thursday morning, the two were still at each other’s throats, with Morolong also releasing video attacks directed at Mneno through her Instagram page.
