Skeem Saam actor and radio presenter, Charles Maja, has died.
The passing of the actor, known as the hard working mechanic “Big Boy” on the weekday youth drama, was confirmed by the Limpopo Artists Movement chairperson and former colleague, Mphoza Mashabela.
Maja died at an undisclosed hospital on Thursday morning after battling a long-time disease.
“I grew up listening to his voice on Thobela FM, I never knew that one day I would act with him on Skeem Saam. I got a role as Mr Setati a client of Mabitsela and we established a friendship from there.
“He supported me with my foundation, Mphoza and Friends, donating sanitary towels to disadvantaged school girls,” said Mashabela.
