Norah Mahlangu, the ANC mayor in Tswaing, found herself in a sticky situation when her video, which resembles the trailer of a Z budget blue movie, was sent to various members of her party in the province.Ā
In the video, which we saw, Mahlangu can be seen in what looks like a bedroom in bed removing her black bra to expose her breasts.Ā
She is later seen stark naked bending on the bed and playing with herself.Ā
Sunday World has established that after her video was leaked, Mahlangu plunged into depression and took a leave of absence from work due to embarrassment and being labelled a porn star wanna-be.Ā
The video leak came a few days after two municipal workers died when they fell in a sewer manhole, which they were working on to unblock the drainage system in Agisanang township outside Sannieshof.Ā
Mahlangu was last seen in public on Wednesday when she attended the funeral of the two deceased municipal workers, where she urged law enforcement authorities to investigate the death of the employees.Ā
Tswaing is in the farming and rural villages of the platinum province.Ā
Speaking to Sunday World, Tswaing speaker Sam Letlakane said Mahlangu was highly traumatised by the leakage of the video. Letlakane confirmed that as a result of the leak, she took a leave of absence.Ā
It was not yet clear how Mahlanguās nude video ended up in the wrong hands.Ā
However, speculation is rife that Mahlangu sent the video to her partner when they were still lovey-dovey.Ā
The partner allegedly tried to extort money from her and when she refused to be blackmailed, he leaked the video to her political foes so that she does not retain her position after the local government elections next year.Ā
