“The journey so far has been nothing short of amazing and challenging at the same time. Sharing a set with such talented professionals and also getting to showcase my craft is truly a dream come true,” the actress told Sunday World.
“I am excited to introduce Dr. Jack to the whole of South Africa… she is a caring and compassionate young woman who is passionate about medicine and people in general. She is here to help her patients in any way she possibly can,” she further added.
“She is a smart, driven and all-around colourful soul that always adds kindness in everything she does. I really hope the audience will fall in love with her as I already have,” she concluded.

Sibongokuhle Nkosi plays the character of Thembi the Thembinator who is the new paramedic, brought on board to assist MacGyver.

“I really love the character that I have been introduced to, she is a very fiesty paramedic, who loves her job and is also out there. Thembi will bring a lot of drama to Durban Gen,” she said.
“Thembi is a very outspoken person, who doesn’t care less about what other people think of her. She lives her life as a bisexual woman and is very confident about her sexuality,” she further added.

Dr. Bhengu, portrayed by Thokozisa Ziqubu, will soon realize that he does not want to leave as he has high expectations for himself.

Dr. Bhengu is a goody two-shoes intern Doctor who would do anything to be in the good books of his superiors, and he doesn’t mind dragging other people down while trying to make his way to the top. He’s not everyone’s favorite at the Hospital because he can become very annoying at times.
“My journey in joining Durban Gen has been one of the biggest blessings that God has blessed me with. I’m enjoying every single moment on set. The cast and crew at Durban Gen are the best to work with,” Ziqubu said.
“What I like about Dr. Bhengu is that he’s focused on getting to the top and likes being challenged in order for him to become better at what he does, and that’s one of the similarities that I found that we share. However, I would never step on anyone’s toes, or drag anyone down while making my way to success. I am a person who likes succeeding with those he’s coming up with,” he further told Sunday World.
